In the past, we bounced back and forth between darker and more medium roasts. Blue Thunder is a perfectly balanced in-between roast that has us completely satisfied.

Full boday, smooth, with a very little of acidity. My go to morning coffe for sure.

I found the brand through a local coffee shop and liked it a lot. I went on the klatch coffee website and the BLUE THUNDER sounded good although it was different from what i had at the coffee shop it was AMAZING.I will be ordering more.

But I don't love it. This is a post roast blend of their French Roast and a medium roast Sumatra. It allows a noticeable layer of smoke and dark chocolate to more gently ride along with a base of smoother, nutty, medium roast coffee, without engulfing the drinker in a commitment to The Dark Side. Consider the medium roast Sumatra a floatation device for letting the user swim more safely into the French roast's deep end of the pool, without getting their hair wet.

I would have preferred they blended the French Roast and the Organic Rainforest Blend, but I can do that on my own by buying a separate bag of each, and so can you; as well as blending anything I suppose.

I discovered this coffee a few years ago at a coffee shop in Pensacola FL. I had ordered a cup of coffee without specifying anything. I tasted it and asked what it was. Blue Thunder. So, I’d buy a bag at that shop every now and then. But, for whatever reason they stopped carrying it in bags. So, I buy it direct. My wife feels the same way. An absolute perfect coffee.
