Description

Belle Espresso is one of our favorites in our coffee houses because it balances beautifully with milk-based drinks. With notes of blackberry, chocolate, and brandy, this decadent espresso has a creamy body and a sweet finish. The top notes layer with hints of orange citrus and spice.

Ken Davids of Coffee Review in his 94 POINTS - May 2006 assessment describes our Belle as:

"Intense aroma: brandy, chocolate, caramel. In the small cup medium in body but smooth in mouthfeel, crisply pungent yet caramelly sweet, with a tightly knit, understated complexity: brandy, caramel, cedar and flowers, hints of which persist in the roundly rich finish. Masters milk with a gentle, brandied chocolate authority."

New beans, new us

My husband and I recently switched beans and we can’t look back. Makes an amazing espresso. We use it mostly for lattes and cappuccinos. We’ve said so many times we prefer our homemade drinks to what we can buy at coffee shops!!

Belle is Beautiful

There is a reason that Belle is Klatch’s highest rated expression, because it’s amazing. Belle is the first roast we tried from Klatch from a third party website and it made us switch from what we had been using for years. Every roast we’ve tried is brilliant, but Belle is special. It pours gorgeous shots of chocolate, caramel, berries and spice with a bit of smokiness, it’s a flavor explosion. We’ve tried straight espresso and with every kind of non dairy milk and it holds up in all of it.

One of my favorites...

Belle has become one of my favorite beans. It is reliably chocolatey, smooth, with a bit of berry for dimension and that interesting brandy note that I find weirdly addictive. I usually don't love darker roasts naked, but I enjoy this one equally naked or in milk. I return to Belle again and again.

It has the flavor of carmelized sugar on cream brûlée. Taste is personal and never wrong. I really enjoy this in my selection of golden bean winners and premium blends from across the country. It made my cut of the 6 beans I have available for my morning espresso. None are better than the other, all are uniquely awesome for my mood of the day. The Weber workshops grinder allows me to to not fill up the hopper. Some days I am excited to get out of bed in the morning to get this as my first smooth cup!

Continued excellence

Early in my espresso days over 10 years ago I experimented with a large variety of beans. Of them all my favorite has been Belle. Other than being gifted beans here and there, or trying something different just to change it up, I have consistently gone back to the same beans. My wife fully agrees.

Incredible consistency from batch to batch, and is great as a straight shot and with milk in various ratios. This will obviously continue to be my go-to choice of beans.
