From beginning to end, Coffee Fest 2016 was more than an event - it was a memorable weekend filled with colorful personalities, coffee geeks, and competitive minds. It's a great melting pot for coffee enthusiasts all over the world.
In true Klatch fashion, our team came with a mission to win big and give everyone something to Klatch about for years to come. As the weekend progressed and the competition results were posted, the Klatch team climbed to the top winning not one, but two awards for an unprecedented double victory! The first award was "America's Best Cold Brew" featuring our Ethiopia Gedeb and the "America's Best Espresso" featuring the Elida natural and honey.
With all the accolades Klatch has garnered from past to present, this one is definitely a once in a lifetime achievement that we'll be remembered for a long time. Coffee Fest Show Manager, David Heilbrunn stated “winning both America’s Best Espresso and America’s Best Cold Brew is a monumental accomplishment that I wouldn’t expect we will see repeated for many years to come.” Two weeks earlier, we took home gold in the Compak Golden Bean competition – the largest roasting competition in the world with a similar but spicier espresso blend.
