What is the Klatch Coffee Curious Menu?

At Klatch Coffee, we believe there's no single "right" way to enjoy coffee. Some people love the routine of making themselves a pour over in the morning, enjoying finding each flavor note and the slow, relaxed start it brings to their day. Others can't start their morning without a perfectly balanced latte. And sometimes, even the most devoted black coffee drinker just wants something a little fun.

That's exactly why we created Coffee Curious.

Coffee Curious is our monthly signature drink menu, designed for anyone and everyone, wherever they are in their coffee journey. The drinks we create for this menu are unique, and can be enjoyed by people who love coffee, and also those who are just beginning to explore it. Every month, alongside the launch of our new Bru Bar pour over menu, our team introduces one brand-new signature beverage inspired by the season, our featured coffees, and the creativity of our baristas. It's a chance for us to experiment, innovate, and share something completely new with our guests. You could say, it’s our way of making sure we stay curious.

A new drink each month

Just as our Bru Bar changes monthly to showcase new coffees, Coffee Curious switches right alongside it. Each month, our team develops a completely original drink built around seasonal ingredients, unique flavor combinations, and, most importantly, coffee. Sometimes, that can mean highlighting fresh fruit, and sometimes, it can mean we’re developing a new house-made syrup. Sometimes, these drinks can feature warm spices to bring in the fall season, and others, they’re floral and light to welcome spring. There could be unexpected ingredients or flavor combinations to complement the natural flavors already present in the coffee, while other times, it could be more about creating contrasting flavors.

Rather than creating a large menu of limited-time drinks, we intentionally focus on crafting one signature beverage each month. This allows our team to dedicate time to perfecting every detail—from balancing sweetness and acidity to choosing the ideal espresso or coffee pairing. This results in a drink that's thoughtful, exciting, and available for a limited time before making way for the next creation. Each one is inspired by the season, by our baristas, and by coffee.

Every Coffee Curious drink starts with inspiration

Sometimes, that inspiration comes from the changing seasons. A bright citrus-forward drink might capture the feeling of summer, while rich spices or decadent flavors may be better suited for cooler weather in the fall. Other times, inspiration comes directly from the coffees we're featuring on our Bru Bar, or even the coffee we’re using as our Espresso of the Month. If one month's lineup includes coffees with vibrant berry notes or tropical fruit characteristics, our signature drink may be designed to highlight or complement those flavors in a completely different way.

No matter where the idea begins, however, the end goal is always the same—to create a delicious flavored drink that still lets the coffee shine center-stage.

Creativity without compromise

Specialty coffee often focuses on precision—dialing in espresso, perfecting extraction, and highlighting origin characteristics. We love all of that, and believe it’s all incredibly important as well. But, we also believe coffee can and should be fun, too! There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a black coffee—in fact, most of our team drinks black coffee daily. But, there’s also nothing wrong with treating yourself to a fancier drink now and then, or enjoying that as your daily caffeine intake, either! Coffee is simply meant to be enjoyed and to help brighten your day, regardless of what form it’s enjoyed as!

Coffee Curious gives our team the freedom to explore new ideas while staying true to the quality standards that define Klatch Coffee. Every recipe goes through tasting, refinement, and plenty of discussion before it ever appears on the menu. You'll often find us experimenting with house-made syrups, unique garnishes, different milk options, creative textures, or unexpected flavor combinations. Sometimes an idea works exactly as imagined. Other times, it takes multiple revisions before it feels right. But, that creative process is part of what makes Coffee Curious so special.

Black coffee doesn’t define specialty coffee

One of the biggest misconceptions in specialty coffee is that enjoying flavored drinks somehow makes you "less" of a coffee drinker. We couldn't disagree more. There's absolutely nothing wrong with loving espresso one day and ordering a sweet seasonal latte the next. Coffee doesn't have to fit into one category, and neither do the people who drink it!

At Klatch Coffee, we're passionate about sourcing incredible coffees, roasting them with intention, and helping guests discover everything coffee can be. But, we also recognize that coffee is meant to be enjoyed. If your favorite drink is a carefully brewed pour over, that's wonderful. If your favorite drink is a seasonal latte with house-made syrup and cold foam, that's wonderful too. That’s why Coffee Curious exists—to celebrate both.

Meeting you wherever you are in your coffee journey

Whether you've been drinking specialty coffee for twenty years or you're ordering your very first latte, everyone deserves to feel welcome. That's one of the main ideas behind Coffee Curious.

Our monthly signature drinks often become a gateway into specialty coffee. Someone who orders a fun seasonal beverage may begin asking questions about the espresso being used. They may notice tasting notes they've never experienced before, or they may become curious about where the coffee came from. Before long, that same guest may decide to try one of our Bru Bar pour overs or pick up a bag of whole beans to brew at home! Coffee Curious was designed to create opportunities for exploration without feeling intimidating. There are no wrong questions, and no wrong drinks. Just high quality coffee, and new experiences.

We’re always evolving, just like coffee

One of our favorite things about coffee is that it never stands still, or as we like to say, it’s never finished. New processing methods continue to push the boundaries of flavor. Producers are constantly experimenting with fermentation techniques, drying methods, and innovative approaches to cultivating coffee, with co-fermentation being a great recent trend that exemplifies this idea. As roasters, we also continue refining profiles to bring out new expressions in every bean. Innovation has always been part of specialty coffee, and we believe our menu should reflect that same spirit.

Coffee Curious gives us an opportunity to take those naturally occurring flavors and explore new ways to experience them through creative beverages. The menu may change every month, but the philosophy stays the same: stay curious.

With that in mind, Coffee Curious isn't just another limited-time menu item, rather, it's an expression of who we are. It reflects our passion for creativity, our commitment to hospitality, and our belief that coffee should be approachable, exciting, and constantly evolving. It's a reminder that coffee can be both serious and playful, and that precision and creativity can exist in the same cup.
