Geisha was rediscovered in 2004, when a 100% Geisha coffee was first sampled by cuppers. Its vibrant, complex flavors and aromatic profile—more akin to Ethiopian coffees than Latin American—left them astounded. That same year, Hacienda La Esmeralda won the "Best of Panama" competition and set a record for the highest coffee auction price, cementing its place in coffee history.
